The Home Depot and UNCF Work to Advance Education

Since 1992, The Home Depot has been partnering with the United Negro College Fund (UNCF), an organization that works to build a robust pipeline of highly qualified college graduates from under-represented populations. UNCF focuses on activities that ensure that more students are college-ready, enroll in college and persist to graduation.

The Home Depot believes that everyone should have access to education resources to succeed. That’s why the company has a long-standing partnership with Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCUs) and is dedicated to continuously increasing our partnership in impactful ways.

The Home Depot recently supported a UNCF grant that funded 27 needs-based scholarships for students attending an HBCU. UNCF is the nation’s largest private scholarship provider to minority group members, and the company’s participation is in line with our commitments to advance education for all and striving to close the wealth gap. Students were selected based on academic performance and analysis of financial need.
