ROSEMONT, IL (July 23, 2019) – As housewares increasingly evolves into the realm of the smart home, innovations from established and start-up companies are making connected and smart products an expanding part of our everyday lives. The Inspired Home Show 2020, IHA’s Global Home + Housewares Market, will feature this growing category in the IHA Smart Home Pavilion at the Show March 14-17, 2020 at McCormick Place in Chicago.
The pavilion will spotlight more than 30 exhibitors of smart and connected products along with educational displays on new retail concepts and presentations on Internet of Things (IoT) technologies. The Smart Home Pavilion will be located in the Hall of Global Innovation in the Level 3 Lobby of the Lakeside Center.
Hardware channel attendees looking for ideas on smart home retailing technologies can visit two displays in the pavilion. Returning to the pavilion will be b8ta, a new retail concept that doesn’t sell merchandise, but offers a Retail-as-a-Service model, leasing space to companies to demonstrate their technology-related products.
The Smart Talks Stage in the pavilion offers 25-minute presentations from established experts discussing IoT technologies and how these developments impact the housewares industry and everyday smart living. Sessions include innovators offering new retail models for reaching consumers and strategies for developing and managing data-driven connected products and services.
In additional to the exhibitors in the Smart Home Pavilion, nearly 100 other companies with smart and connected products can be found throughout the Show. They will be identified by special signage in their booths.
The Inspired Home Show 2020 will feature more than 2,200 companies, including long-standing suppliers and innovative start-ups, to offer new solutions and new selling opportunities to hardware buyers.
