Jorge A. Quezada Joins Granite as Vice President of Diversity and Inclusion

WATSONVILLE, Calif.–Granite (NYSE:GVA) announced today that Jorge A. Quezada has joined the Company as Vice President of Diversity and Inclusion. In this newly created role, Jorge will report to Phillip M. DeCocco, Senior Vice President of Human Resources and be responsible for implementing strategies that address Granite’s guiding belief that diverse backgrounds, perspectives, and experiences enhance creativity and innovation.

Quezada joins Granite from his current position as Senior Director, Diversity and Inclusion and Leadership Development at Northwestern Mutual. In this role, he was responsible for designing and executing diversity and inclusion strategies, as well as leadership and training programs. Prior to Northwestern Mutual, Quezada served as Chief Diversity Officer at Kraft Foods from 2013 to 2015 and as Inclusivity Diversity Director at Allstate Insurance Company from 2011 to 2013.

Quezada earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science from Whittier College and a Master of Business Administration degree from the University of Illinois at Chicago.
